New Delhi: Exterior Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar will on Tuesday chair a gathering of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Ministers of International Affairs/ Worldwide Relations through video conferencing throughout which the leaders will alternate views on the Covid-19 pandemic state of affairs and countering terrorism in addition to different international and regional problems with concern.
“India as the present BRICS Chair will convene the standalone assembly of BRICS Ministers of International Affairs/ Worldwide Relations on 01 June, 2021,” the Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) mentioned in an official launch earlier.

“The ministers are anticipated to alternate views on the Covid-19 pandemic state of affairs, the necessity for strengthening and reforming the Multilateral System with a view to enhancing its capability to successfully handle the various challenges of our time and to adapt them to up to date realities, on international and regional problems with concern, sustainable growth, Countering Terrorism in addition to discussing methods to boost intra-BRICS cooperation, particularly people-to-people cooperation,” the MEA added.
Brazilian International Minister Carlos Alberto Franco França, Russian International Minister Sergei Lavrov, China’s International Minister Wang Yi and South African Minister of Worldwide Relations and Cooperation Grace Naledi Mandisa Pandor are anticipated to take part within the assembly.
